Translation

Despite Vidura's counsel, he nevertheless follows his son. Shakuni deliberately challenged Yudhishthira to a game of dice, though the latter had no skill at gambling while the former was an expert at it. Inexperienced in the game, Yudhishthira followed the rules of a warrior's conduct guilelessly and steadfastly. Having thus deceived the righteous King Yudhishthira, they will under no circumstance willingly give up the kingdom. If you speak words of righteousness to Dhritarashtra, you will surely win the hearts of his warriors. Vidura, too, will make use of these words of yours and thereby estrange the hearts of Bhishma, Drona, Kripa, and the others. When the ministers are divided and the warriors have turned away, it will fall to the enemy's task to win back their hearts. Meanwhile, the Pandavas will, with ease and full-heartedly, take up the preparation of their army and the gathering of supplies.
