द्रक्ष्यसे देवराजानम् इन्द्रं शीघ्रम् इहागतम् ॥
न भेतव्यं च नहुषात् सत्यम् एतद् ब्रवीमि ते ॥
समानयिष्ये शक्रेण नचिराद् भवतीम् अहम् ॥
अथ शुश्राव नहुष इन्द्राणीं शरणं गताम् ॥
बृहस्पतेर् अङ्गिरसश् चुक्रोध स नृपस् तदा ॥
drakṣyase devarājānam indraṃ śīghram ihāgatam ||
na bhetavyaṃ ca nahuṣāt satyam etad bravīmi te ||
samānayiṣye śakreṇa nacirād bhavatīm aham ||
atha śuśrāva nahuṣa indrāṇīṃ śaraṇaṃ gatām ||
bṛhaspater aṅgirasaś cukrodha sa nṛpas tadā ||
'You shall see Indra, the lord of the gods, return here soon. Truly I say to you: do not fear Nahusha; I shall soon reunite you with Indra.' Now Nahusha learned that Indra's queen had taken refuge with Brihaspati, son of Angiras. And at this the king flew into a rage.'
