शमम् इच्छति दाशार्हस् तव दुर्योधनस्य च ॥
पाण्डवानां च राजेन्द्र तद् अस्य वचनं कुरु ॥
पितासि राजन् पुत्रास् ते वृद्धस् त्वं शिशवः परे ॥
वर्तस्व पितृवत् तेषु वर्तन्ते ते हि पुत्रवत् ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

śamam icchati dāśārhas tava duryodhanasya ca ||
pāṇḍavānāṃ ca rājendra tad asya vacanaṃ kuru ||
pitāsi rājan putrās te vṛddhas tvaṃ śiśavaḥ pare ||
vartasva pitṛvat teṣu vartante te hi putravat ||

Translation

And the king of the Kurus took care to build a most beautiful pavilion at Vrikasthala for Krishna's reception, filled with precious jewels. And having made all these preparations, which were godlike and far surpassed human capacity, King Duryodhana reported the same to Dhritarashtra. Yet Keshava of the Dasharha line arrived at the capital of the Kurus without casting a single glance at all these tents and all these varied jewels.'
