Translation

"Let level roads be made to them outside the city. This very day, without delay, let the march be proclaimed for tomorrow." They promised, "So be it," and the next day did all this; magnanimous, with joyful looks, they made ready for the destruction of kings. Then all those rulers, hearing the king's command, rose up in agitation from their costly seats. Slowly they touched their arms, which resembled iron bars, gleaming with golden armlets and adorned with sandal and aloe; with lotus-like hands they adjusted their turbans, their lower and upper garments, and all their ornaments.
