Then the wise Pandava again arrayed the divisions, confounding the current of thought of Dhritarashtra's sons. The final chapter of the Udyoga-parva shows the Pandavas' answer to the Kauravas' deployment: Yudhishthira acts calmly and precisely, distributing the army according to strength and task. His ordering does not look like blind fury; it is the deliberate organization of a dharmic war, where each hero receives a place according to his own nature and power. The image of the army as a full Ganga carries the book to the threshold of battle: negotiations, embassies, warnings, and vows are complete, and now the accumulated fate moves on like a river.
