देवताः पितरश् चैव पूर्वे ये चास्य बान्धवाः ॥
ददृशुर् निहतं तत्र भारद्वाजं महारथम् ॥
पाण्डवास् तु जयं लब्ध्वा सिंहनादान् प्रचक्रिरे ॥
तेन नादेन महता समकम्पत मेदिनी ॥

dadṛśur nihataṃ tatra bhāradvājaṃ mahāratham ||
pāṇḍavās tu jayaṃ labdhvā siṃhanādān pracakrire ||
tena nādena mahatā samakampata medinī ||

Translation

The gods, the ancestors, and the long-departed kinsmen of his beheld there the great chariot-warrior, the son of Bharadvaja [Drona], struck down. And the Pandavas, having won the victory, let out lion-roars; from that great roar the earth trembled.
