साश्वं ससूतं त्वरितः पार्थः प्रैषीद् यमक्षयम् ॥

yena trigartādhipatiḥ pāṇḍavaṃ samupāhvayat ||
tato 'rjunaḥ suśarmāṇaṃ viddhvā saptabhir āśugaiḥ ||

trigartādhipateś cāpi bhrātaraṃ ṣaḍbhir āyasaiḥ ||
sāśvaṃ sasūtaṃ tvaritaḥ pārthaḥ praiṣīd yamakṣayam ||
Having heard this, the descendant of Dashaha turned the chariot to where the lord of the Trigartas was summoning the Pandava to battle. Then Arjuna, having wounded Sushaman with seven swift arrows, cut down his banner and bow with two razor-arrows. And the brother of the lord of the Trigartas, together with his horses and his charioteer, Partha swiftly sent, with six iron arrows, to the halls of Yama.

Krishna, without argument, turns the chariot exactly where He Himself pointed, resolving Arjuna's division through action. The Lord's instruction becomes the charioteer's deed -- and doubt gives way to decisive battle. It is telling that, the moment he has decided, Arjuna strikes without delay: hesitation belonged to the time before the choice; afterward there is only swift execution. The verse teaches that a resolved doubt must at once turn into action -- to linger after a decision is taken is as ruinous as wavering before it; that the Lord's guidance, once accepted by a devotee, is carried out without remainder; and that firmness on the far side of choice -- when the heart is no longer divided -- gives the blow a precision and speed unknown to one who still hesitates.
