सिंलाङ्गूलम् ग्रास्यं जं वाक्षणम्
नंस्य संग्रामे प्रत्यश्या भैवम्
वारो राजन् ताकाभिर् लंकृतः
त्रायाम् तत् सैन्यं ध्वजो गाण्डीन्वनः

dhanaṃjayasya saṃgrāme pratyapaśyāma bhairavam ||

Translation

"With a lion's tail, fierce-faced, the banner with the monkey emblem of Dhananjaya in battle we beheld, striking terror. That best of monkeys, O king, adorned with pennants, struck terror into that army — the banner of the Gandiva-bowman."
