"Truly, indeed, the whole world with gods, asuras, men, with hosts of Yakshas and rakshasas, with bhutas, serpents, elephants, Yudhishthira could burn with his terrible gaze — he for whose sake Shauri [Krishna], of immeasurable might, is armored. And this is your ever-abiding great wrongdoing, son of the charioteer: that you dare to fight in battle together with Shauri [Krishna]."

Kripa crowns his speech with the essential point: behind the Pandavas stands Krishna himself, of immeasurable might. Telling is that he calls the daring to fight against Krishna not valor but "wrongdoing": to rise against the Lord is the highest wrong. The verse teaches that the measure of any deed is on whose side it stands in relation to the Lord; and one who dares against Him for whose sake Krishna himself is armored dooms himself — for against the Lord there is no victory.
