तं न वित्तपतिर् नेन्द्रो न यमो न जलेश्वरः ॥
नासुरोरगरक्षांसि क्षपयेयुः सहायुधम् ॥
मूढास् त्व् एतानि भाषन्ते यानीमान्य् आत्थ भारत ॥
युद्धे ह्य् अर्जुनम् आसाद्य स्वस्तिमान् को व्रजेद् गृहान् ॥
त्वं तु सर्वातिशङ्कित्वान् निष्ठुरः पापनिश्चयः ॥
श्रेयसस् त्वद्धिते युक्तांस् तत् तद् वक्तुम् इहेच्छसि ॥
गच्छ त्वम् अपि कौन्तेयम् आत्मार्थेभ्यो हि माचिरम् ॥
त्वम् अप्य् आशंससे योद्धुं कुलजः क्षत्रियो ह्य् असि ॥

taṃ na vittapatir nendro na yamo na jaleśvaraḥ ||
nāsuroragarakṣāṃsi kṣapayeyuḥ sahāyudham ||
mūḍhās tv etāni bhāṣante yānīmāny āttha bhārata ||
yuddhe hy arjunam āsādya svastimān ko vrajed gṛhān ||
tvaṃ tu sarvātiśaṅkitvān niṣṭhuraḥ pāpaniścayaḥ ||
śreyasas tvaddhite yuktāṃs tat tad vaktum ihecchasi ||
gaccha tvam api kaunteyam ātmārthebhyo hi māciram ||
tvam apy āśaṃsase yoddhuṃ kulajaḥ kṣatriyo hy asi ||

Translation

"...who would destroy the inexhaustible one, a kshatriya -- the bull among kshatriyas? Him neither the lord of wealth [Kubera], nor Indra, nor Yama, nor the lord of waters [Varuna], nor asuras, serpents, rakshasas would destroy together with [his] weapon. Only fools say this, what you have said, O Bharata; for, having met Arjuna in battle, who would go home unharmed? You, however, out of your endless suspicion, cruel, with sinful intent -- those zealous for your welfare -- wish to reproach with this and that here. Go, you too, against the son of Kunti; for your own sake, do not delay."
