भीमसेनं समाकीर्णं दृष्ट्वास्त्रेण धनंजयः ॥
तेजसः प्रतिघातार्थं वारुणेन समावृणोत् ॥
नालक्षयत तं कश् चिद् वारुणास्त्रेण संवृतम् ॥
अर्जुनस्य लघुत्वाच् च संवृतत्वाच् च तेजसः ॥
साश्वसूतरथो भीमो द्रोणपुत्रास्त्रसंवृतः ॥
अग्नाव् अग्निर् इव न्यस्तो ज्वालामाली सुदुर्दृशः ॥

bhīmasenaṃ samākīrṇaṃ dṛṣṭvāstreṇa dhanaṃjayaḥ ||
tejasaḥ pratighātārthaṃ vāruṇena samāvṛṇot ||
nālakṣayata taṃ kaś cid vāruṇāstreṇa saṃvṛtam ||
arjunasya laghutvāc ca saṃvṛtatvāc ca tejasaḥ ||
sāśvasūtaratho bhīmo droṇaputrāstrasaṃvṛtaḥ ||
agnāv agnir iva nyasto jvālāmālī sudurdṛśaḥ ||

Translation

Seeing Bhimasena enveloped [showered] with weapons, Dhananjaya, in order to repel the heat, covered him with the weapon of Varuna. No one discerned him, covered by the weapon of Varuna, because of Arjuna's swiftness and because of being enveloped in heat. Bhima, together with his horses, charioteer, and chariot, enveloped by the weapon of Drona's son, was like fire placed within fire — wreathed in flame, hard to behold.
