भगवान् उवाच भो भो फल्गुन तुष्टः अस्मि कर्मणा अप्रतिमेन ते शौर्येण अनेन धृत्या च क्षत्रियः न अस्ति ते समःbhagavān uvāca bho bho phalguna tuṣṭaḥ asmi karmaṇā apratimena te śauryeṇa anena dhṛtyā ca kṣatriyaḥ na asti te samaḥThe Blessed One said: "O, O Phalguna, I am pleased with your peerless deed; in this valor and this fortitude there is no kshatriya equal to you.
समम् तेजः च वीर्यम् च मम अद्य तव च अनघ प्रीतः ते अहम् महाबाहो पश्य माम् पुरुषर्षभsamam tejaḥ ca vīryam ca mama adya tava ca anagha prītaḥ te aham mahābāho paśya mām puruṣarṣabhaToday your splendor and your courage are equal to mine, O sinless one; I am pleased with you, mighty-armed one — look upon me, bull among men.
ददानि ते विशालाक्ष चक्षुः पूर्वऋषिः भवान् विजेष्यसि रणे शत्रून् अपि सर्वान् दिवौकसःdadāni te viśālākṣa cakṣuḥ pūrvaṛṣiḥ bhavān vijeṣyasi raṇe śatrūn api sarvān divaukasaḥI grant you sight, O wide-eyed one; you are an ancient rishi; in battle you shall conquer your enemies, even all the dwellers of heaven."
