Traducción

Lomasha said: 'Here mortals, having performed austerities, go to heaven, Bharata; thousands of people wishing to die come here, O king. Such a blessed utterance was once spoken by Daksha while performing a sacrifice: "Those who die here will indeed conquer heaven." This is the holy Sarasvati and the divine river Oghavati; here is the place called Vinashana of the Sarasvati, lord of the people. At the entrance to the land of the Nishadas, out of hatred for them, the Sarasvati entered the earth, hero, saying: "Let the Nishadas not know me." Here is Chamasodbheda, where the Sarasvati becomes visible, where the divine, holy rivers flowing to the ocean would return to her. This is the great tirtha of the Sindhu, crusher of enemies, where Lopamudra, having met Agastya, chose him as her husband. Here shines the tirtha Prabhasa, radiant as the sun; it is dear to Indra, holy, purifying, destroying sin. Here is seen the finest tirtha named Vishnupada; and here is the lovely Vipasha, a river of the highest purification.'
