Traducción

Wide-eyed Draupadi, seeing that they meant to seize her, rebuked them and cried out in fear: 'Do not touch me!' Then she called out, summoning the priest Dhaumya. Jayadratha seized her by the edge of her upper garment, but she pushed him away; shaken by her, that sinner fell like a tree with its root cut. Then, seized with great force and sighing heavily once more, the princess Krishna, as she was dragged, mounted the chariot after bowing to Dhaumya's feet. Dhaumya said: 'She cannot be carried off without first defeating the great chariot-warriors. Remember the ancient dharma of the kshatriyas, Jayadratha. Having committed this baseness, you will without doubt reap an evil fruit when you meet the Pandava heroes led by the King of Dharma.' Having said this, Dhaumya then followed the illustrious princess as she was led away, walking among the foot soldiers.
