ततो युधिष्ठिरो राजा धर्मपुत्रो महामनाः ॥
संनिवर्त्यानुजान् सर्वान् इति होवाच भारत ॥
द्वादशेमानि वर्षाणि राष्ट्राद् विप्रोषिता वयम् ॥
त्रयोदशो ऽयं संप्राप्तः कृच्छ्रः परमदुर्वसः ॥
स साधु कौन्तेय इतो वासम् अर्जुन रोचय ॥
यत्रेमा वसतीः सर्वा वसेमाविदिताः परैः ॥
tato yudhiṣṭhiro rājā dharmaputro mahāmanāḥ ||
saṃnivartyānujān sarvān iti hovāca bhārata ||
dvādaśemāni varṣāṇi rāṣṭrād viproṣitā vayam ||
trayodaśo 'yaṃ saṃprāptaḥ kṛcchraḥ paramadurvasaḥ ||
sa sādhu kaunteya ito vāsam arjuna rocaya ||
yatremā vasatīḥ sarvā vasemāviditāḥ paraiḥ ||
Then king Yudhishthira, the son of Dharma, great of mind, gathered all his younger brothers and said, O Bharata: "Twelve years we have lived away from the kingdom. Now the thirteenth year has come, hard and exceedingly difficult to live through. Therefore, Kaunteya Arjuna, choose for us a good place here, where we may all live so that strangers will not recognize us."
