बीभत्सुर् अपि गीतेन सुनृत्तेन च पाण्डवः ॥
विराटं तोषयाम् आस सर्वाश् चान्तःपुरस्त्रियः ॥
अश्वैर् विनीतैर् जवनैस् तत्र तत्र समागतैः ॥
तोषयाम् आस नकुलो राजानं राजसत्तम ॥
तस्मै प्रदेयं प्रायच्छत् प्रीतो राजा धनं बहु ॥
विनीतान् वृषभान् दृष्ट्वा सहदेवस्य चाभिभो ॥
एवं ते न्यवसंस् तत्र प्रच्छन्नाः पुरुषर्षभाः ॥
कर्माणि तस्य कुर्वाणा विराटनृपतेस् तदा ॥
bībhatsur api gītena sunṛttena ca pāṇḍavaḥ ||
virāṭaṃ toṣayām āsa sarvāś cāntaḥpurastriyaḥ ||
aśvair vinītair javanais tatra tatra samāgataiḥ ||
toṣayām āsa nakulo rājānaṃ rājasattama ||
tasmai pradeyaṃ prāyacchat prīto rājā dhanaṃ bahu ||
vinītān vṛṣabhān dṛṣṭvā sahadevasya cābhibho ||
evaṃ te nyavasaṃs tatra pracchannāḥ puruṣarṣabhāḥ ||
karmāṇi tasya kurvāṇā virāṭanṛpates tadā ||
Bibhatsu the Pandava delighted Virata and all the women of the inner chambers with singing and beautiful dancing. Nakula delighted the king, the best of kings, with trained, swift horses gathered from here and there. Pleased, the king gave him much wealth; and likewise, O lord, he rewarded Sahadeva upon seeing his well-trained oxen. Thus these bulls among men lived there in hiding, carrying out the tasks of King Virata.’
