Traducción

Whatever your command may be, O king, your sons and their followers ought to obey it. If they live once more in obedience to you, that will be the best thing they can do. If you strive for peace by restraining your sons, it will benefit you, O king, and it will benefit the Pandavas as well. Reflect carefully, and act accordingly, O king. Let these sons of Bharata -- the Pandavas, O ruler of men -- be your allies. With the support of the Pandavas, O king, seek both religious merit and worldly gain. However great your own strength, O king, you could never have allies such as these. Protected by the illustrious sons of Pandu, even Indra himself, at the head of the gods, would not be able to defeat you. How then could mere earthly kings withstand your might? If Yudhishthira, and Bhimasena, and Savyasachin, and the twins were arrayed alongside Bhishma, Drona, Kripa, Karna, Vivinsati, Ashvatthaman, Vikarna, Somadatta, Vahlika, the lord of Sindhu, the ruler of the Kalingas, and Sudakshina, king of the Kambojas, and if the mighty and energetic Satyaki and the great chariot-warrior Yuyutsu were also stationed there, who, O bull of the Bharata race, could be so misguided in judgment as to fight against them? If, O slayer of enemies, both the Kurus and the Pandavas stand behind you, then dominion over the whole world and invincibility against every foe will be yours. All the rulers of the earth, O king, whether your equals or your superiors, will then seek an alliance with you. Guarded on every side by sons, grandsons, fathers, brothers, and friends, you will be able to live in the greatest happiness. Keeping them close and treating them with kindness, as in days gone by, you, O king, will enjoy sovereignty over the whole earth. With their help, and with the sons of Pandu besides, you, O Bharata, will be able to conquer all your enemies. Even this alone is your best advantage. If, O scourge of enemies, you unite with your sons, kinsmen, and counselors, you will enjoy dominion over the whole earth, won for you by them.
