Traducción

Vaishampayana said: Then the son of Dhritarashtra, joining his palms, together with all the kings addressed Bhishma, son of Shantanu, with these words: "Even a very great army, lacking a leader, when it meets battle, is scattered like an anthill. For the minds of two men are never wholly alike, and the valor of leaders rivals against itself. It is known, O greatly wise one, that once all the brahmins, with raised banners of kusha grass, marched against the Haihayas of measureless might. Then the vaishyas and shudras followed after them, O forefather: on one side stood the three varnas, on the other, the foremost of kshatriyas.
