Traducción

'Formerly the lord of Shalva was chosen by my heart as my husband, and he too chose me before, in secret, without my father's knowledge. How then, O king, having studied the shastras, and especially being a Kaurava, could you keep me — who loves another — in your house, O Bhishma? Having resolved this with reason and with mind, O bull among the Bharatas, you must undertake here what befits you, O mighty-armed one. King Shalva plainly awaits me, O lord of the peoples. Show mercy to me, O mighty-armed one, best among the upholders of dharma. For we have heard, O hero, that you on this earth are true to your vow.'
