छादयन्तः शरव्रातैः परिवव्रुर् धनंजयम् ॥
अदृश्यं च मुहूर्तेन चक्रुस् ते भरतर्षभ ॥
कृष्णेन सहितं युद्धे कुन्तीपुत्रं धनंजयम् ॥

Traducción
Then the Narayanas, in wrath, with diverse weapons in hand, veiling him with swarms of arrows, hemmed Dhananjaya in on every side. And in an instant they made him invisible, O bull among the Bharatas, in that battle — Kunti's son Dhananjaya, together with Krishna.

For a moment both Arjuna and Krishna himself vanish from sight beneath a cloud of arrows — darkness seems to veil the light. But this is only "for an instant": a passing eclipse of what is true is not its destruction. It is telling that even the Lord becomes invisible — not because He is overcome, but because He permits the enemy his brief triumph, so that the strength of His devotee may shine forth all the more clearly afterward. The verse teaches that there are hours when truth and its support seem to vanish under the press of numbers and appear defeated; but this is a trial of appearances, not a defeat of substance. Whoever does not mistake a momentary eclipse for a final outcome will live to see the unseen reveal itself again in full power.
