वैशंपायन उवाच
तथा तु स वरांल् लब्ध्वा धर्माद् धर्मभृतां वरः ॥
गत्वाश्रमं ब्राह्मणेभ्य आचख्यौ सर्वम् एव तत् ॥
कथयित्वा तु तत् सर्वं ब्राह्मणेभ्यो युधिष्ठिरः ॥
अरणीसहितं तस्मै ब्राह्मणाय न्यवेदयत् ॥
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca
tathā tu sa varāṃl labdhvā dharmād dharmabhṛtāṃ varaḥ ||
gatvāśramaṃ brāhmaṇebhya ācakhyau sarvam eva tat ||
kathayitvā tu tat sarvaṃ brāhmaṇebhyo yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
araṇīsahitaṃ tasmai brāhmaṇāya nyavedayat ||
Vaishampayana said: "Having thus received these boons from Dharma, the best of the upholders of dharma returned to the hermitage and told the brahmins everything. Having recounted all of it to the brahmins, Yudhishthira handed over the fire-sticks together with everything pertaining to them to that brahmin."
