Translation

Both were full of tremendous zeal, both of fierce valor, both huge of body, like two sixty-year-old rutting elephants. Bhima, the slayer of foes, seized the wrestler with his arms and tore him up as he roared and cried out, as a tiger seizes an elephant. The mighty-armed, powerful one lifted him and began to whirl him about; the wrestlers and the Matsyas were struck with the utmost astonishment. Having whirled him a hundred times, the mighty-armed Vrikodara robbed the wrestler of strength and consciousness and dashed him upon the ground. When that famous wrestler Jimuta was slain, Virata, together with his kinsmen, was filled with the highest joy. In his delight the great-hearted king gave much wealth to Ballava on the great arena, like Vaishravana. Thus, defeating a great many wrestlers and mighty men, he brought the king of the Matsyas the highest pleasure. And when no man remained there equal to him, the king made him fight tigers, lions, and elephants. Afterward, in the inner chambers, among the women, Vrikodara, at Virata's command, fought lions of great strength maddened with rut.’
