Translation

Vaishampayana said: 'Having sent the priest to the city named for the elephant, they dispatched envoys to the kings of various lands. And having sent envoys elsewhere, the hero of the Kurus, Dhananjaya — that bull among men and son of Kunti — himself set out for Dvaraka. And after Krishna and Baladeva, descendants of Madhu, had both departed for Dvaraka together with all the Vrishnis, Andhakas, and hundreds of Bhojas, the royal son of Dhritarashtra, having sent forth secret messengers, kept himself informed of all the doings of the Pandavas. And learning that Krishna was already on his way, the prince set out for the city of Dvaraka on fine horses swift as the wind, taking with him a small number of troops.'
