माधवी च पुनर् दीप्तां परित्यज्य नृपश्रियम् ॥
कुमारी कामतो भूत्वा गालवं पृष्ठतो ऽन्वगात् ॥
त्वय्य् एव तावत् तिष्ठन्तु हया इत्य् उक्तवान् द्विजः ॥
प्रययौ कन्यया सार्धं दिवोदासं प्रजेश्वरम् ॥

kumārī kāmato bhūtvā gālavaṃ pṛṣṭhato 'nvagāt ||

Translation
Madhavi, abandoning her radiant royal splendor, once again became a maiden by her own will and followed after Galava. 'Let the horses remain with you for now,' said the brahmin. And he set out together with the maiden for Divodasa, lord of the people.

Madhavi returns to Galava not as one who has lost her power, but as one who has become a maiden again through her own gift. The horses remain for now with Haryashva, and the journey continues toward the next king. The vow is not yet fulfilled, but a workable way to complete it has been found.
