Translation

"A man who has fallen under the power of intolerance understands nothing; every taut cord snaps in the end — see this, O Bharata. Better for you, child, is union with the Pandavas than with the wicked; reconciled with them, you will obtain every desire. Enjoying the earth conquered by the Pandavas, O best of kings, you place the Pandavas behind you and hope for protection from elsewhere. Having placed your sovereignty upon Duhshasana, Durvishaha, Karna, and Saubala, you desire prosperity, O Bharata. But in my judgment they are not sufficient for you, either in dharma and gain, and they are also insufficient in valor against the Pandavas, O Bharata."
