दुर्योनं चाविधेयं ध्नीतेति पुरा दि
कुरून् चोयिष्यस् त्वं त्वां व्यनम् व्रजेत्
तत् ते बुद्धिव्यभीचारम् प्स्यन्ति पाण्डवाः
पाञ्चाला वृष्णयः र्वे ये चान्ये ऽपि हानाः

duryodhanaṃ vidheyaṃ badhnīteti pu yadi ||
kun acodayiṣyas tvaṃ na tvāṃ vyasanam āvrajet ||
tat te buddhivyabhīram upalapsyanti ṇḍavāḥ ||
ñcā vṛṣṇayaḥ sarve ye nye 'pi majanāḥ ||

Translation

"And [if] before you had urged the Kurus: 'Bind the unruly Duryodhana!' — misfortune would not have befallen you. That deviation of your mind will be recognized by the Pandavas, the Panchalas, the Vrishnis, all, and other great men as well."
