कृत्वा पितृर्म त्वं पुत्रं संस्थाप्य त्पथे
र्तेथा दि र्मे त्वां व्यनम् व्रजेत्
त्वं तु प्राज्ञमो लोके हित्वा र्मं नानम्
दुर्योस्य र्णस्य कुनेश् चान्वगा तम्

sa kṛtvā pitṛkarma tvaṃ putraṃ saṃsthāpya satpathe ||
vartethā yadi dharmeṇa na tvāṃ vyasanam āvrajet ||
tvaṃ tu prājñatamo loke hitvā dharmaṃ satanam ||
duryodhanasya karṇasya śakuneś cānva matam ||

Translation

"You, having performed the father's duty, having established your son on the good path, [if you] had acted according to dharma — misfortune would not have befallen you. But you, wisest in the world, having abandoned the eternal dharma, followed the opinion of Duryodhana, Karna, and Shakuni."
