बृत्क्षत्रे ते राजन् केयानां हाथे
शैशुपालिः सुसंक्रुद्धो न्तारम् दम् ब्रवीत्
साथे याहि त्रै द्रोणस् तिष्ठति दंशितः
विनिघ्नन् केयान् र्वान् पाञ्चालानां वाहिनीम्
स्य तद् नं श्रुत्वा साथी थिनां रम्
द्रोणा प्रायाम् काम्बोजैर् नैर् यैः

śaiśuliḥ susaṃkruddho yantāram idam abravīt ||
rathe hi yatraiṣa droṇas tiṣṭhati daṃśitaḥ ||
vinighnan kekan sarvān pāñcānāṃ ca hinīm ||
tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā rathī rathināṃ varam ||
droṇāya prāpam āsa mbojair javanair hayaiḥ ||

Translation

With Brihatkshatra, the great warrior of the Kekayas, slain, O king, the son of Shishupala [Dhrishtaketu], greatly enraged, said this to his charioteer: "Charioteer, drive to where this Drona stands, armored, cutting down all the Kekayas and the host of the Panchalas." Hearing that word of his, the charioteer brought the finest of chariot-warriors to Drona with swift Kamboja horses.
