न वार्ष्णेयस्यापराधो भवितव्यं हि तत् तथा ॥
तस्मान् मन्युर् न वः कार्यः क्रोधो दुःखकरो नृणाम् ॥
हन्तव्यश् चैष वीरेण नात्र कार्या विचारणा ॥
विहितो ह्य् अस्य धात्रैव मृत्युः सात्यकिर् आहवे ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

na vārṣṇeyasyāparādho bhavitavyaṃ hi tat tathā ||
tasmān manyur na vaḥ kāryaḥ krodho duḥkhakaro nṛṇām ||
hantavyaś caiṣa vīreṇa nātra kāryā vicāraṇā ||
vihito hy asya dhātraiva mṛtyuḥ sātyakir āhave ||

मृत्युः सात्यकिः आहवेmṛtyuḥ sātyakiḥ āhavedeath — Satyaki in battle; death — Satyaki, in the fight
Translation

[Others said:] "It is not the fault of the Vrishni [Satyaki] — for so it was destined; therefore do not be angered: anger is the maker of sorrow for men. And he was bound to fall by a hero's hand; there is no need to deliberate here, for by the Ordainer himself was his death ordained — Satyaki's, in battle."
