Translation

Then Ghaṭotkaca, with ten arrows resembling the fire of the end of time, struck Drauṇi in the chest in battle, furious. Pierced by those far-flying arrows of the rākṣasa, the mighty Drauṇi staggered in battle like a tree in the wind; falling into a swoon, he clutched the staff of his banner. Then all your army cried out, O lord of men; all your men deemed him slain, O lord of peoples. Having seen Aśvatthāman in such a state in battle [the enemies rejoiced].
