पश्य भीमं महाबाहो राक्षसेन्द्रवशं गतम् ॥
पदवीम् अस्य गच्छ त्वं मा विचारय पाण्डव ॥
धृष्टद्युम्नः शिखण्डी च युधामन्यूत्तमौजसौ ॥
सहिता द्रौपदेयाश् च कर्णं यान्तु महारथाः ॥
नकुलः सहदेवश् च युयुधानश् च वीर्यवान् ॥
इतरान् राक्षसान् घ्नन्तु शासनात् तव पाण्डव ॥
त्वम् अपीमां महाबाहो चमूं द्रोणपुरस्कृताम् ॥
वारयस्व नरव्याघ्र महद् धि भयम् आगतम् ॥
paśya bhīmaṃ mahābāho rākṣasendravaśaṃ gatam ||
padavīm asya gaccha tvaṃ mā vicāraya pāṇḍava ||
dhṛṣṭadyumnaḥ śikhaṇḍī ca yudhāmanyūttamaujasau ||
sahitā draupadeyāś ca karṇaṃ yāntu mahārathāḥ ||
nakulaḥ sahadevaś ca yuyudhānaś ca vīryavān ||
itarān rākṣasān ghnantu śāsanāt tava pāṇḍava ||
tvam apīmāṃ mahābāho camūṃ droṇapuraskṛtām ||
vārayasva naravyāghra mahad dhi bhayam āgatam ||
...the best of men [Krishna] spoke this word to Dhananjaya: "Look at Bhima, O mighty-armed one, fallen into the power of the lord of rakshasas; go to his rescue, do not deliberate, O Pandava. Let Dhrishtadyumna and Shikhandin, Yudhamanyu and Uttamaujas, and the sons of Draupadi together, the great warriors, go against Karna. Let Nakula and Sahadeva, and valiant Yuyudhana [Satyaki], slay the other rakshasas, by your command, O Pandava. And you, O mighty-armed one, [hold back] this army led by Drona..."

Krishna, as a commander, allots the forces: each has his own task, and the common danger is met by concerted effort. Telling is his "do not deliberate": in the hour of saving a friend, delay is ruinous. The verse teaches that wise leadership does not fling all its strength at a single point but places each man where he is most needed; and rescue in a shared cause is achieved not by the impulse of lone actors but by an orderly disposition in which everyone knows his place and his duty.
