अर्जुनार्जुन बीभत्सो शृणु मे तत्त्वतो वचः ॥
यदर्थं क्षत्रिया सूते तस्य कालो ऽयम् आगतः ॥
अस्मिंश् चेद् आगते काले श्रेयो न प्रतिपत्स्यसे ॥
असंभावितरूपः सन्न् आनृशंस्यं करिष्यसि ॥
सत्यश्रीधर्मयशसां वीर्येणानृण्यम् आप्नुहि ॥
भिन्ध्य् अनीकं युधां श्रेष्ठ सव्यसाचिन्न् इमान् कुरु ॥

bhīma uvāca
arjunārjuna bībhatso śṛṇu me tattvato vacaḥ ||
yadarthaṃ kṣatriyā sūte tasya kālo 'yam āgataḥ ||
asmiṃś ced āgate kāle śreyo na pratipatsyase ||
asaṃbhāvitarūpaḥ sann ānṛśaṃsyaṃ kariṣyasi ||
satyaśrīdharmayaśasāṃ vīryeṇānṛṇyam āpnuhi ||
bhindhy anīkaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha savyasācinn imān kuru ||

सत्यश्रीधर्मयशसाम्satyaśrīdharmayaśasām[before] truth, glory, dharma, honor; before truth, good, dharma, glory
वीर्येण आनृण्यम् आप्नुहिvīryeṇa ānṛṇyam āpnuhithrough valor attain debtlessness; through valor attain blamelessness
भिन्धि अनीकम् युधां श्रेष्ठbhindhi anīkam yudhāṃ śreṣṭhacleave the array, [of] fighters best; cleave the array, O best of fighters
सव्यसाचिन् इमान् कुरुsavyasācin imān kuruSavyasachin, finish these off; O Savyasachin, finish off these
Translation

"Arjuna, Arjuna, Bibhatsu, hear my faithful word: for the sake of which a kshatriya woman bears [a son] -- that hour has come. If in this hour that has come you do not attain the higher good, having found yourself in an unworthy state, you will display faintheartedness. Before truth, good, dharma, glory, through valor attain blamelessness; cleave the [enemy] array, O best of fighters, finish off these [foes], O Savyasachin."
