Songs of the Ācāryas

The bhajanas and kīrtanas Vaiṣṇavas sing daily, in temples and at home, across the tradition. These are not devotional decoration: a song was how the ācāryas taught. What a treatise would spend a chapter on, a song puts in four lines that a congregation learns by singing them. Each one here is treated as scripture is treated — word by word, a literary translation, and an explanation of what it says and why it is sung where it is.
