उत्तिष्ठोत्तिष्ठ भद्रं ते न त्वम् अर्हस्य् अरिंदम ॥
मोहं नृपतिशार्दूल गन्तुम् आविष्कृतः क्षितौ ॥
एवम् उक्तो ऽथ नृपतिर् वाचा मधुरया तदा ॥
ददर्श विपुलश्रोणीं ताम् एवाभिमुखे स्थिताम् ॥
अथ ताम् असितापाङ्गीम् आबभाषे नराधिपः ॥
मन्मथाग्निपरीतात्मा संदिग्धाक्षरया गिरा ॥

uttiṣṭhottiṣṭha bhadraṃ te na tvam arhasy ariṃdama ||
mohaṃ nṛpatiśārdūla gantum āviṣkṛtaḥ kṣitau ||
evam ukto 'tha nṛpatir vācā madhurayā tadā ||
dadarśa vipulaśroṇīṃ tām evābhimukhe sthitām ||
atha tām asitāpāṅgīm ābabhāṣe narādhipaḥ ||
manmathāgniparītātmā saṃdigdhākṣarayā girā ||

ददर्श विपुलश्रोणीं ताम् एव अभिमुखे स्थिताम्dadarśa vipulaśroṇīṃ tām eva abhimukhe sthitāmsaw that broad-hipped one, standing right before [him];
अथ ताम् असितापाङ्गीम् आबभाषे नराधिपःatha tām asitāpāṅgīm ābabhāṣe narādhipaḥand to that dark-eyed [maiden] the lord of men spoke,
मन्मथाग्निपरीतात्मा संदिग्धाक्षरया गिराmanmathāgniparītātmā saṃdigdhākṣarayā girā[his] soul engulfed by the fire of Manmatha, in speech with faltering syllables:

Traducción

Tapati said: "Rise, rise, good fortune to you; it is not fitting for you, O tiger-king renowned upon the earth, to fall into confusion, O tamer of foes." Thus addressed in a sweet voice, the king then saw her, full-hipped, standing right before him, and spoke to that dark-eyed maiden, his soul engulfed by the fire of Manmatha, in speech with faltering syllables.
