तत उत्कोचकं तीर्थं गत्वा धौम्याश्रमं तु ते ॥
तं वव्रुः पाण्डवा धौम्यं पौरोहित्याय भारत ॥

Traducción
"Having honored one another, the gandharva and the Pandavas parted from the delightful bank of the Ganga, as they wished. Then, having come to the tirtha of Utkocaka, to the hermitage of Dhaumya, the Pandavas chose that Dhaumya for the priesthood, O Bharata."

Here, having parted from their friend, the Pandavas hasten to find a guide. It is telling that they go at once to Dhaumya: a teacher pointed out by the wise ought to be obtained without delay. Here is shown diligence in seeking a guru: one who seeks spiritual support does not put it off. It is telling too that they part "having honored one another": the righteous observe courtesy both in friendship and in discipleship. Thus scripture shows the passage from alliance with the gandharva to the finding of a purohita; and the Pandavas take the first step toward ordering their life according to dharma.
