दुःशासनो विकर्णश् च पाण्डवान् आनयन्त्व् इह ॥

Here even the homecoming is arranged with honor, not compulsion. It is significant that Drona directs that the Pandavas be brought with an honorable escort, only after leave has been sought: the worthy are summoned with respect, not dragged by force. Here is a courtesy fitting for kinsmen and heroes. Thus scripture shows the graciousness of Drona's design; and the path to reconciliation is built with respect.
