क्षत्रियः शस्त्रमरणो यदा भवति सत्कृतः ॥
ननु स्म मागधं सर्वे प्रतिबाधेम यद् वयम् ॥

Traducción
Krishna said: "[If] a kshatriya who dies by weapons [in battle] is thereby honored, should not all of us who are able repel this Magadha?"

Here the duty of the kshatriya calls to battle for the oppressed. It is significant that death in battle for what is right is named an honor, not a loss: it befits a warrior to meet weapons while defending the helpless. Thus the scripture reveals that courage in the defense of dharma is glory, not risk; and further — of the nearness of the hour of sacrifice.
