Traducción

"He who, beset by fierce sufferings from his enemies, keeps patience and awaits the time, is like a mindful man nurturing a small fire — in the end he alone enjoys the whole earth. He whose wealth is not kept apart from his helpers has helpers who share even in his sorrow; this is the way to keep helpers, and the gaining of helpers is called the gaining of the earth. Truth, O Pandava, is best of all; speech should be free of idle talk. Food should be shared equally with one's helpers; the king himself should not go ahead of them, disregarding them. Behaving thus, the protector of the earth grows great." Yudhishthira replied: "I shall do as you say, attaining the highest understanding and remaining vigilant. And whatever else befits the place and time, speak it: I shall carry it all out."
