असंशयं माधव सत्यम् एतद्; गृह्णीम ते वाक्यम् अदीनसत्त्व ॥
स्वाभ्यां भुजाभ्याम् अजितां तु भूमिं; नेच्छेत् कुरूणाम् ऋषभः कथं चित् ॥
न ह्य् एष कामान् न भयान् न लोभाद्; युधिष्ठिरो जातु जह्यात् स्वधर्मम् ॥
भीमार्जुनौ चातिरथौ यमौ वा; तथैव कृष्णा द्रुपदात्मजेयम् ॥
उभौ हि युद्धे ऽप्रतिमौ पृथिव्यां; वृकोदरश् चैव धनंजयश् च ॥
कस्मान् न कृत्स्नां पृथिवीं प्रशासेन्; माद्रीसुताभ्यां च पुरस्कृतो ऽयम् ॥
यदा तु पाञ्चालपतिर् महात्मा; सकेकयश् चेदिपतिर् वयं च ॥
योत्स्याम विक्रम्य परांस् तदा वै; सुयोधनस् त्यक्ष्यति जीवलोकम् ॥

Traducción

Vasudeva said: "Without doubt, Madhava, this is true. We accept your word, you of unyielding spirit. But the bull among the Kurus will never wish for land not won by his own two arms. Yudhishthira will never abandon his own dharma, neither for desire, nor fear, nor greed; nor will the great chariot-warriors Bhima and Arjuna abandon it, nor the twins, nor this Krishna, daughter of Drupada. In battle on this earth none equal Vrikodara and Dhananjaya; why then should this king, with the sons of Madri before him, not rule the whole earth? But when the great-souled lord of the Panchalas, the Kekayas, the king of Chedi, and we ourselves, showing our valor, fight against the enemy, then Suyodhana will leave the world of the living."

Comentario

Krishna accepts Satyaki's devotion but turns it back toward Yudhishthira's dharma. Victory must not come as a gift from allies, but as the fruit of a path righteously endured.
