यत् त्वं दित्ससि कृष्णाय राजन्न् अतिथये बहु ॥
एतद् अन्यच् च दाशार्हः पृथिवीम् अपि चार्हति ॥
न तु त्वं धर्मम् उद्दिश्य तस्य वा प्रियकारणात् ॥
एतद् इच्छसि कृष्णाय सत्येनात्मानम् आलभे ॥
मायैषातत्त्वम् एवैतच् छद्मैतद् भूरिदक्षिण ॥
जानामि ते मतं राजन् गूढं बाह्येन कर्मणा ॥
पञ्च पञ्चैव लिप्सन्ति ग्रामकान् पाण्डवा नृप ॥
न च दित्ससि तेभ्यस् तांस् तच् छमं कः करिष्यति ॥
अर्थेन तु महाबाहुं वार्ष्णेयं त्वं जिहीर्षसि ॥
अनेनैवाभ्युपायेन पाण्डवेभ्यो बिभित्ससि ॥
yat tvaṃ ditsasi kṛṣṇāya rājann atithaye bahu ||
etad anyac ca dāśārhaḥ pṛthivīm api cārhati ||
na tu tvaṃ dharmam uddiśya tasya vā priyakāraṇāt ||
etad icchasi kṛṣṇāya satyenātmānam ālabhe ||
māyaiṣātattvam evaitac chadmaitad bhūridakṣiṇa ||
jānāmi te mataṃ rājan gūḍhaṃ bāhyena karmaṇā ||
pañca pañcaiva lipsanti grāmakān pāṇḍavā nṛpa ||
na ca ditsasi tebhyas tāṃs tac chamaṃ kaḥ kariṣyati ||
arthena tu mahābāhuṃ vārṣṇeyaṃ tvaṃ jihīrṣasi ||
anenaivābhyupāyena pāṇḍavebhyo bibhitsasi ||
He is the Lord of all creatures, and upon him depends the course of all that exists in the universe. Indeed, intellect, valor, wisdom, and energy all dwell in Madhava. Worthy of honor at the hands of all the righteous, he is foremost among all men and truly eternal Virtue itself. If he is worshipped, he will surely grant happiness; and if he is not worshipped, he will surely bring suffering. If this scourge of foes, Dasharha, is pleased with our offerings, all our desires may be fulfilled by his grace, among kings. O slayer of foes, without losing time, take every measure for his reception. Let pavilions be set up along the road, furnished with every object of enjoyment.
