Traducción
These sons of Garuḍa, whom I have named, dwell only in one province of this region. I have mentioned only those distinguished by power, fame, and achievement. If none here pleases you, let us go — we shall depart from this place, O Mātali. I will take you to another land where you will find a fitting husband for your daughter.

This passage carries forward the central theme of the Udyoga-parva: the effort toward peace unfolds even as war draws inevitably near. Dharma reveals itself here through speech, through the choice of an embassy, through fidelity to one's word, and through the responsibility of kings for the consequences of their decisions.
