Traducción

'O best of men, the Pandavas, together with their counselors, deceived at the game of dice, endured humiliations while waiting for you. Now hear from me in full detail of the carnage of horses, elephants, and kings of immeasurable might that took place in the battle. Be steadfast, O great king; having heard, in this great war, the true account of the onset of ruin for all the world, do not lose heart. For a man is not the independent author of good and evil deeds: unfree, a man is set in motion like a wooden mechanism. Some are directed by the Lord, others by mere chance, others by former deeds; thus it is drawn in three ways.'
