Traducción

"She went to Prayāga, to the place of sacrifice to the gods, to the divine forests, to Bhogavatī, O king, and to the hermitage of Kauśika; to the hermitage of Māṇḍavya, O king, and to the hermitage of Dilīpa, to Rāma's lake, O Kauravya, and to the hermitage of Paila-Gārgya. At these tīrthas, O lord of peoples, the daughter of Kāśi bathed her limbs, taking upon herself a harsh asceticism. Then my mother, rising up out of the water, said to her, O Kauravya: 'Why do you torment yourself so, O gracious one? Tell me the truth of this.' Then the blameless maiden, joining her palms, answered her, O king: 'Rāma did not defeat Bhīṣma in battle, O fair-eyed one.'"
