श्रीभगवान् उवाच
इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्य् अनसूयवे ॥
ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज् ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसे ऽशुभात् ॥
राजविद्या राजगुह्यं पवित्रम् इदम् उत्तमम् ॥
प्रत्यक्षावगमं धर्म्यं सुसुखं कर्तुम् अव्ययम् ॥
अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परंतप ॥
अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि ॥
śrībhagavān uvāca
idaṃ tu te guhyatamaṃ pravakṣyāmy anasūyave ||
jñānaṃ vijñānasahitaṃ yaj jñātvā mokṣyase 'śubhāt ||
rājavidyā rājaguhyaṃ pavitram idam uttamam ||
pratyakṣāvagamaṃ dharmyaṃ susukhaṃ kartum avyayam ||
aśraddadhānāḥ puruṣā dharmasyāsya paraṃtapa ||
aprāpya māṃ nivartante mṛtyusaṃsāravartmani ||
The Blessed Lord said: 'To you, who are free of envy, I shall explain the most secret knowledge together with realization; knowing it, you shall be freed from evil. This is royal knowledge and royal mystery, the supreme purifying knowledge, directly perceivable, in accord with dharma, joyful to practice, and imperishable. But men without faith in this dharma, O scorcher of foes, fail to attain Me and return to the path of mortal samsara.'

Krishna calls this knowledge royal not because of its complexity, but because of its power to purify and to lead directly to Him. What is required is not blind credulity, but the absence of the envious resistance that keeps the heart from accepting the personal truth about the Lord.
