Traducción

"In the world of the living, the eternal jiva is My own fragment; abiding in prakriti, it draws along the senses together with the mind as the sixth. When the lord of the body obtains a body and when it leaves, it takes these with it, as the wind carries scents from their source. Resting on hearing, sight, touch, taste, smell, and mind, it partakes of the objects of sense. The deluded do not see it as it departs, abides, or enjoys, joined to the gunas; but those possessed of the eye of knowledge do see. Striving yogis see it established within themselves, but the unpurified and witless do not see it, however much they strive."
