Traducción

Who guarded the right wheel [of his chariot], and who the left, of the great-souled one? Who [stood] in front of the hero as he fought in battle? And who there, not sparing their own flesh, stepped forth to meet death face to face; which heroes displayed the greatest steadfastness in battle for the sake of Drona? This is what a noble man ought to do in grievous misfortunes, O Sanjaya: let him strive according to his strength — and this was rooted in him. My mind grows confused, dear one; let the tale be suspended for now; once I have recovered myself, I shall question you again, O Sanjaya.
