अनुवाद

'Seeing that Pradyumna had cut down his arrows, the king of Saubha resorted to a terrible asuric illusion. Pradyumna recognized the daitya-weapon, split it with the brahmastra, and loosed other feathered arrows. They cast off that weapon and pierced Shalva in the head, chest, and face; he lost consciousness and fell. As the base Shalva lay tormented by arrows, the son of Rukmini fitted another arrow, the destroyer of enemies. It blazed like the sun and fire, and when it was seen drawn to the bowstring, the sky filled with cries of woe. Then the gods, with Indra and Kubera, sent Narada and the mighty Vayu. They spoke to Pradyumna the word of the celestials: "Do not slay King Shalva. Withdraw the arrow: in battle there is no one it cannot slay. His death has been ordained by the Creator for Krishna, the son of Devaki; this must not prove false."'
