अनुवाद

Men skilled in the game of dice challenged the great-souled but inexperienced Yudhishthira to play, and he trusted them and lost! Can it be said that such men won the game righteously? If they had come to Yudhishthira while he was playing at home with his brothers and had defeated him there, then what they won would have been fairly won. But they challenged Yudhishthira, who was in conscience bound to observe the rules kept by the warrior caste, and defeated him through deceit. What is righteous in their conduct? And how can this Yudhishthira -- who has fully discharged the terms set in that game, who has been released from his vow of dwelling in the forest, and who therefore has a right to his ancestor's throne -- be expected to submit?
