अन्यथा चिन्तितो ह्य् अर्थः पुनर् भवति सो ऽन्यथा ॥
अनित्यमतयो लोके नराः पुरुषसत्तम ॥
अन्यथा बुद्धयो ह्य् आसन्न् अस्मासु वनवासिषु ॥
अदृश्येष्व् अन्यथा कृष्ण दृश्येषु पुनर् अन्यथा ॥
अस्माकम् अपि वार्ष्णेय वने विचरतां तदा ॥
न तथा प्रणयो राज्ये यथा संप्रति वर्तते ॥
निवृत्तवनवासान् नः श्रुत्वा वीर समागताः ॥
अक्षौहिण्यो हि सप्तेमास् त्वत्प्रसादाज् जनार्दन ॥
इमान् हि पुरुषव्याघ्रान् अचिन्त्यबलपौरुषान् ॥
आत्तशस्त्रान् रणे दृष्ट्वा न व्यथेद् इह कः पुमान् ॥
anyathā cintito hy arthaḥ punar bhavati so 'nyathā ||
anityamatayo loke narāḥ puruṣasattama ||
anyathā buddhayo hy āsann asmāsu vanavāsiṣu ||
adṛśyeṣv anyathā kṛṣṇa dṛśyeṣu punar anyathā ||
asmākam api vārṣṇeya vane vicaratāṃ tadā ||
na tathā praṇayo rājye yathā saṃprati vartate ||
nivṛttavanavāsān naḥ śrutvā vīra samāgatāḥ ||
akṣauhiṇyo hi saptemās tvatprasādāj janārdana ||
imān hi puruṣavyāghrān acintyabalapauruṣān ||
āttaśastrān raṇe dṛṣṭvā na vyathed iha kaḥ pumān ||
Thus, peace, if offered properly, my lord, can be secured. O Krishna, therefore strive to make peace with the enemy. You, O hero, are the best friend of both the Pandavas and the Kurus, just as Prajapati is friend to both gods and asuras. Do, then, what is for the good of both the Kurus and the Pandavas. I think achieving our welfare will be no trouble for you. If you make the effort, O Janardana, this undertaking will be such that it is soon accomplished. As soon as you arrive there, it will be fulfilled. If, O hero, you intend to deal with the malicious Duryodhana in some other way, that purpose of yours will be accomplished exactly as you wish. Whether it be peace or war with the enemy that you desire, whatever you will, O Krishna, shall surely be carried out by us.
