अनुवाद

Nārada said: 'Thus addressed by Suparna with true and excellent words, King Yayāti — having reflected on them attentively and weighed them again and again, the performer of a thousand sacrifices, the generous lord of gifts, the master of Vatsa and Kāshi — spoke these words. Seeing his dear friend Tārkṣya and Gālava, the best of the twice-born, hearing of the example of austerity and the praiseworthy request that had been proclaimed, and understanding that these two, having passed by other kings of the solar dynasty, had come to him alone, he said: "Today my birth has borne fruit; today my lineage is saved. Today, O Tārkṣya, sinless one, my land too has been saved by you."'
